Our Story

Jannette’s Pasta, like most other things, began with a strong name. Kriss Hippo, founder, has been continuously inspired by her father, who owned various restaurants and businesses.  The most prestigious was a high-end Italian restaurant in Altoona, PA in the 1970’s and early 80’s. With his strong Italian roots, serving excellent food, bringing family and friends together for a great meal was his passion and that same passion spilled over to his daughter.  She has worked in the restaurant industry since she began her career and shares his same passion for great food and hospitality. 

In 2005, her father pitched a business opportunity. He wanted to buy a small pasta production company and have her run it with the goal of it becoming hers one day.  At the time, however, the stars just didn’t align but it was always in the back of her mind. 

Fast forward to 2021, Hippo’s father had since passed away and she had a very unique opportunity of purchasing some pasta equipment. She immediately knew this was a sign from her father to start her own pasta company, the one they didn’t get the chance to do years ago… the creation of Jannette’s Pasta, LLC. 

Jannette’s Pasta, LLC. was founded in 2021, and with her father’s “unseen” guidance, it quickly and easily came together and has steadily grown since then. Jannnette’s Pasta, LLC. supplies a successful restaurant chain with their homemade noodles for their famous chicken noodle soup, and supplies fresh frozen pasta to restaurants and grocery stores. The team’s passion and commitment to quality, integrity, and the desire to bring families together to enjoy a good meal will continue to grow and build the legacy Hippo has always wanted to build with and for her father.
